Singapore mathematics is built on the CPA principle (Concrete–Pictorial–Abstract): every new concept is first explored with real objects, then reinforced through diagrams and drawings, and only after that written in numbers. This order helps children understand mathematics rather than memorise algorithms mechanically. Lessons take place in small groups with constant feedback from the teacher.
